Pros and Cons
Description Motorola MBP421
The Motorola MBP421 digital video baby monitor offers seamless sound and video monitoring to give you total peace of mind as you watch over your precious little one. Using digital 2.4 GHz FHSS technology, this baby monitor system ensures more reliable wireless communication at a much better range so you don’t get to miss anything that’s happening in the nursery. Upgraded wireless technology also prevents any interference from other wireless electronic devices that are commonly used in most households.
The camera on the baby unit can be tilted to give you the best viewing angle. It comes with digital zoom to give you a closer look at your baby and has 4 built-in infrared LED lights for night vision. That means you can keep watch of what’s going on in your baby’s room even when the lights are off. This is extremely helpful if your baby is a light sleeper and gets disturbed when you turn on the lights.
The full-colour 1.8 inch LCD display on the Motorola MBP421 parent unit delivers a clear live video feed. To conserve on power, you have the option to turn off the screen and still receive sound signals of any activity coming from the nursery. Otherwise, you can use the sound activation feature to receive automatic video feeds only when the sound activity in baby’s room reaches a certain level. When no sound is detected within 20 seconds, the parent unit screen shuts off automatically.
The parent unit easily clips onto your belt or waist for better portability and ease of movement. Nice touch is that the clip also converts to a desktop stand with a quick, half-circle rotation.
The Motorola MBP421 has a wireless range of around 158m (520 feet) indoors, so you be sure to stay connected even if you’ve got a bigger home. The system sounds an alarm in case you go out of range and a low battery alert will notify you if it’s time to recharge the unit.
